Chanel No.5 is no longer the same. I won’t waste my money on it. There are no perfumes worth buying that I can find. You are absolutely right, no soul, certainly don’t last. The last Chanel No.5 Body Creme that my husband bought me, years ago, I try not to use too often for fear that when it’s gone, I’ll have nothing. He passed away 1 1/2 years ago and when I wear it for a special occasion it makes me feel he’s still with me. I keep thinking if I take a trip to Paris maybe I can find the original scent there. I’ve been looking up vintage perfumes and although I really don’t want a used perfume, that appears to be the only option. Thank God there are still vintage available. Powder too, I have found several that are unopened. Contemplating purchasing My Sin, Arpege, a couple of others. True…so sad.

I can only wear vintage. No difference so i can go and shop a perfume at Zara. The new perfumes have no soul and lasts 1 hour. The perfume is dead in my opinion.

It was beautiful! I started wearing the pure perfume in the early 80s and was my fragrance for my wedding. I wore many beautiful perfumes including Rive gauche, l’interdit, Le de, vol de nuit, Magie noir, Régime and Antonia’s flowers over the last 40+ years.
Unfortunately so many were reformulated. I recently sprayed a bottle of Oscar de la renta in the dept store. There were thin notes of the original Oscar de la renta. So disappointing. Many of the perfumes I mentioned have been discontinued or reformulated with more synthetics. Very sad.

I am in the USA and you can buy this fragrance on eBay. There are a number of bottles on this site. Good Luck.

But it was only a few years ago that I found my signature fragrance, Elixir Charnel Chypre Fatale Guerlain. And I also wear Sisley’s l’or du Soir. I have a bottle of Chanel No.5 and Chloe but they don’t season well with my body chemistry.
